LiquidWeb is a start-up company operating within the ICT field, with special focus in ubiquitous computing, mobile services and cloud computing technologies, with applications in mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android platforms, design of smart environments, pervasive technologies and internet of things applications, unified communication and web collaboration. LiquidWeb developed Braincontrol (class I CE medical device, www.braincontrol.it), an innovative and modular Augmentative Alternative Communicator Assistive Communicator for LIS (Locked-in State) and CLIS patients, based on brain-computer interface technology (BCI) interpreting electrical signals that correspond with certain brain activity and allows a computer or other external devise to be controlled with thoughts.
MEDEA has 20 years of experience in the management and development of innovative regional and international projects, in particular in the eHealth, e-government and active ageing domains. It has recognized skills in fundraising, project and financial management of complex projects, drafting of strategic development plans with technical and financial planning, support to processes of organizational change and deployment of organizational solutions and processes. In particular, MEDEA collaborates with public and private companies by carrying out the development of research projects, the definition of strategic policy actions in the context of international projects, the drafting and management of projects financed through EU programmes.

Othokey is a dynamic company founded in 2005 by a team of people who have been working for 20 years in the field of computer-assisted orthopaedic surgery. The approach used in the product design phases follows three objectives: speed, simplicity and accuracy.
Based on the surgeon's experience, Orthokey has developed a BLU-IGS CAS (computer assisted surgery) platform, which integrates anatomical data, surgical workflows, and biomechanical models to support the orthopaedic surgeon during surgery. Different solutions have been developed according to the surgical procedures, focused on the lower limbs.
Orthokey has also developed: Perseus, a cutting guide, enhanced by inertial sensors, which helps the physician to perform perfect resections, with less fatigue and morbidity than the conventional technique; KiRA - quick kinematic evaluation device: KiRA is a medical device for outpatient use. KiRA supports the analysis of knee joint kinematics and dynamic laxity, providing both real-time graphics and quantitative examination information.
The Navacchio Technological Pole, founded in 1999 from the restructuring of a disused industrial area, is a reality designed to stimulate networking between hi-tech companies, the world of research and the centres of excellence in the area. It is an integrated and structured system dedicated to innovation, consisting of a business incubator that offers startups a physical space to work in (60 thousand cubic meters of space), convenient logistics services and support in the start-up phase of the company, and a network of more than 60 "senior" companies, with which to weave collaborations and create opportunities for growth.
