Founded in 2014, VisMederi Research, a start-up and a subsidiary of VisMederi, is a service company operating in the field of Life Sciences. The main activity of Vismederi Research is to carry out the research activities, both basic and applied, for the parent company that has always offered highly qualified services to the large pharmaceutical companies involved in the development of flu vaccines. To meet the needs of new and more effective products, vaccines are constantly being developed based on innovative platforms, which therefore require updated and validated bioanalytical tests to assess their effectiveness. To do this, a constant commitment in research activities and the development of new experimental protocols to support the development of these products is necessary. Over the years, VisMederi Research has developed its own network of contacts and services offered to pharmaceutical companies operating not only in the field of influenza vaccines, but also of natural and synthetic molecules, offering a broader portfolio of analytical tests. Vismederi Research operates in compliance with the European certification system UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015.

Profile:

VisMederi Research was born as a company focused on the research and development of new bioanalytical tests for the development of innovative vaccines mainly against influenza. Over the years the company has grown and developed a network of contacts that have allowed it to offer qualified services to pharmaceutical companies that operate not only in the field of vaccines such as influenza or emerging or re-emerging infectious diseases (Lassa), but also in the field of new synthetic and natural molecules.

All tests conducted by VisMederi Research are designed, validated and conducted according to international guidelines and periodically updated based on the requests of the sponsors. The research activity, that is constantly carried out by the highly qualified staff of the company, has allowed us to create a portfolio of services offered for the pharmaceutical industries that develop and produce flu vaccines including: microneutralization tests using pseudoviral particles, enzyme immunoassays for evaluation of the response to neuraminidase (ELLA test), quantization of IgA levels through ELISA, not only in serum but also in saliva and nasal washes.

VisMederi Research has also gained experience in viral propagation of seasonal and pandemic influenza virus in both eggs and cells, and has Master Cell Banks for different types of cell lines, both human and animal, such as MDCK, MDCK-SIAT, TRUE, HEK293, Hep-2C, HL-60 and RD, which are constantly tested to assess their vitality, sterility and any contamination.
