KW Apparecchi Scientifici, founded in 1953, designs and produces machines for refrigeration and incubation equipment, in its two facilities in Tuscany, in Monteriggioni (Siena). KW's products are specialised in the biomedical sector, in biobanks, in the pharmaceutical industry and in scientific research, and the company is constantly working on process and product innovation thanks to an internal team of engineers in the R&D department.
As far as the medical sector is concerned, KW is one of the major Italian producers of medical devices (EC Class IIA and Class I) for blood banks and transfusion centres. All products comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.

"The Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology (LAMMB) is involved in research in the field of bacterial genetics, genetic engineering, microbial pathogenicity, host-parasite interaction, vaccine development and study of their immunogenicity and advanced immunization technologies.
The LAMMB is equipped with the latest equipment necessary to work with both eukaryotic and bacterial cells and carry out molecular and immunological studies both in vitro and in animal models. The facility has Class 2 and Class 3 biosecurity laboratories and a animal facilities for mice at Biosecurity Level 3 lab."
The laboratory develops research lines mainly concerning the design and synthesis of new innovative molecules for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases such as cardiovascular, neurodegenerative and tumor diseases, and the development and application of analytical methods in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, toxicological and toxicological-forensic fields.
LabAnalysis was born in 1976 in order to satisfy main analytical request in environmental analysis, especially on water and air samples.
